Vidakind is a boutique private lifestyle and companionship service for older adults on the Gold Coast. We bring warmth, good company and thoughtful everyday assistance to everyday life: conversation, outings, cooking, light household help and the little personal touches that make someone feel valued.

No. We are not a nursing home, medical provider or traditional aged care agency, and we do not provide nursing, showering, toileting, lifting, transfers, medication administration or complex personal care. Vidakind is a privately paid companionship and lifestyle service.

Our standard rate is $60 per hour with a minimum booking of three hours. At Home Support is $180 for 3 hours, Out & About is $240 for 4 hours, and Full Day Lifestyle Support and Evening Care are each $480 for 8 hours. Weekend and public holiday rates are to be confirmed.

Before we share a day, let’s share a cuppa. We offer a complimentary introductory meeting of around 30 minutes to meet you, and your family if you wish, talk about your interests and preferences, and see whether Vidakind is the right fit. There is no obligation to book.

Yes. Many enquiries come from sons and daughters. Your parent’s wishes always guide how we spend the time together, and with their permission we keep the family informed through the Vidakind app.

That is our intention. Familiarity and trust are at the heart of Vidakind, so we aim for the same friendly face at each visit and will always talk with you before anything changes.

Transport arrangements for outings are confirmed with you individually when booking. Many outings are local and on foot. We will be clear about what is possible before any outing is arranged.

No. Evening Care visits finish at an agreed time. Vidakind does not provide overnight stays or sleepovers.

Yes. Simple hair styling and rollers are included in your booked time. Professional haircuts are available during an existing booking from $20, thanks to our founder’s 30 years of hairdressing experience.

Vidakind is based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Tell us your suburb when you enquire and we will confirm availability in your area.

Every regular client can receive a beautiful personalised Vidakind book that stays in their home. It is a place to note favourite drinks and treats, flowers, hobbies, places to visit and ideas for future visits. When we arrive, we look through it together and plan the visit. It is never used for medical, financial or confidential information.
